In either summer or fall of year 1974, mom argued with dad a lot at 87 Mechanics Street apartment in Foxboro. Then dad left to work or somewhere else. Mom took dad’s money with the checkbook for Amtrak tickets and one night in hotel. So, mom and I waited for MBTA purple line to Providence, RI. Then we transferred to Amtrak to NYC. It was long night trip. Arrive Penn Station, mom and I stayed for the night at the hotel. I woke up in bed with mom in the morning. I heard mom coughing and waking up. I remembered we went to the store and bought “I Love NY”. [Meanwhile, dad came home and found out that mom and I disappeared, he started getting worried. He had no idea where we were.]. After that, we went back on Amtrak to Providence, RI. I remembered the 2 cars hooked up together and the doors were closed. Arrived Mansfield station (the same where we took off). I believed dad picked us up and brought us home. Dad was sorry about the argument.
